Don’t know about you, but I could really do with some retail therapy! Luckily, you can seriously shop till you drop in the Mother City. So we went for a walk on the quirky side: Slytherin ankle socks, anyone?
If you are doing quirky, where better to begin than at Quirky Me? “Kooky decor, genius gifts” is their tag line and they do have some seriously fun stuff. Founder Ingrid Corbett is aiming to make the space around you more fun and interesting and sourcing her wares locally. Loved her stuff, especially the Super Hero Pencils and the Mia Wallace closed edition print by South African embroidery designer Danielle Clough.

I love Shine Shine, a Cape Town based brand founded by Tracy Rushmere and developed with graphic designer Heidi Chisholm.
